The Lawrenceburg Speedway is a well-recognized dirt track that has started the careers of a lot of the popular racers of today. Originally a 1/2-mile dirt track, the purpose of the reconstruction effort is to bring back the days of high-banked dirt oval racing. The 3/8-mile dirt oval will boast 15-degree banking with transition to 6-degree banking in the straights. The venue will employ some of the most popular amenities for fan enjoyment, including new grandstands, motorcoach spaces, fan viewing of tech inspection activities, improved pit areas, and new safer crash walls and fencing. The facility will also be able to host televised events through the improved facility lighting. The facility will bring back the glory to high-banked dirt racing.
